Meet Our Staff

Pastor Joe Dokken
Senior Pastor
I have been serving in full time ministry since 1991 and accepted the Senior Pastor position at Hawthorne Assembly in the spring of 2015. My wife, Janet, and I have 3 adult children, Aaron Dokken, and his wife Katie, of Butler Illinois, Lauren Burg (Dokken) and her husband Matt of St Paul, Minnesota, and Tim is a graduate student at North Central University, finishing up his Masters Degree in business leadership. We have been married for 36 years, and have three grandchildren. Janet is a gifted musician, worship leader, and loves anything green and growing. We enjoy spending time outdoors or around a campfire with our children and grandkids. World travel and missions are key motivators for me, yet the opportunity to hear the stories of others in their journey with Christ is just as rewarding. Chicken Mahkani is my favorite meal, with Chicken Scallopini a close 2nd.
A favorite Bible verse is Philippians 2:13 “For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him.”

Pastor Scott Tintes
Children's Pastor
I graduated from North Central University in 2021 with a bachelors degree in Youth, Children, and Family ministry and since graduation I have been serving as the Student ministry pastor at Hawthorne AG!
I got married in 2020 to my wife Brandi who also graduated from North Central University. We're both so happy and excited to be making an impact on the children and youth students here at Hawthorne!
Life Verse:
'For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ.
-2 Cor 4:6-

Brandi Tintes
Church Secretary
Youth Leader
I graduated from North Central University in 2020 with a degree in Biblical and Theological Studies and I have been serving as the secretary and Youth Leader here at Hawthorne Assembly!
I grew up in Indiana and moved to Minnesota after college- and got married in 2020 to my husband Scott who serves here as the Children's Pastor! We have been so blessed to have the opportunity to pour into the Youth and Children during our time here.
I have a huge love for music, drawing, embroidering, and reading- and spending too much time taking cute photos of my cat, Melvin..
One of my favorite verses is Psalms 12:6
"The Lord's words are true and pure, like silver purified by fire, like silver melted seven times to make it perfectly pure"

Hannah Hazard
Church Treasurer
I started working at the church in April 2018. I've had years of experience working in the administration field and it's very refreshing to work for God rather than a making a CEO richer. It's a joy to use the abilities The Lord has given me to help serve Him and our congregation.
In my personal life I'm an avid reader, dog-mom, and lover of music, theater, my husband Alan, and Jesus. I'm also very passionate about my other job with Trades of Hope that allows me to help empower women around the world out of poverty and human trafficking.
